Street crime in Karachi



 Karachi is the largest city in Pakistan and it is also the country’s financial and industrial hub. The city has a population of over 15 million people and it is growing rapidly. However, Karachi is also known for its high levels of street crime. Every year, thousands of people are mugged, robbed, or assaulted in the city. The police have been unable to effectively control street crime, and the government has failed to take necessary measures to address the issue. Street crimes in Karachi have had a significant impact on the city. They have caused a lot of fear and insecurity among the residents. The police have been unable to control the situation, and the criminals seem to be getting bolder by the day. These people overpower the victim by fear and weapons. Youngsters these days are very much in fear about whether to carry a mobile phone or cash while travelling at any time of the day. It is not just night time that is dangerous for them but also day time. Anytime, any place and by any means, these culprits get hold of helpless and innocent people walking on the street and rob them of all valuables, cash and mobile phones.Every day, stories of street crime appear in the news headlines, but has any solution been catered to?



 There are many questions that come to mind related to street crimes in Pakistan. Why such crimes are getting so increased every single day? Who is providing them with the weapons? Why just only small and medium size businesses and houses become the target of these crimes? Some of the research has conducted that there is a great rate of crimes that is just being done by the young and poor just because of the poverty in their neighborhood. They are lacking the basic necessities of life that force them to involve them in bad activities.
